History

In the early 1990s, a small group of document management professionals combined their talent and expertise to bring imaging systems and solutions to businesses in the Southwest, using software and hardware that were then industry standards. The experiment, known today as Critical Technologies, proved very successful. As document and records management products have evolved in the intervening years, Critical has continued to develop and deliver creative solutions to meet the needs of this fast-paced marketplace.

In 1998, Critical launched the first distributed capture software solution on the market, offering remote scanning, indexing, and transmission of indexed images to centralized repositories. Critical then introduced a hosted (web-based) document management service in early 2000. Recent enhancements include a full rewrite using Microsoft's .NET platform, with online workflow, consolidated user interfaces, full text searching and data mining.

Critical Technologies currently manages over three billion mission-critical records for its clients in our fully redundant SAS-70 Type II data centers. More than 10,000 client users store and retrieve their records around the clock and across the globe.
